stacks bookstoreのホームページを作ることにしました。
ここでは、いろいろな人の話を少しずつ記録していこうと思っています。

作品の良し悪しも、お酒や食べ物のおいしさも、
一つの絶対的な基準があるわけではない。
じゃあ人は何をもって物事を判断しているのかというと、きっと日々の積み重ねや営みのなかで、
少しずつ形づくられたものなんだと思います。

それは、表現する人にとっても同じことで、
創作は特別な瞬間から急に生まれるものではなく、
日々の暮らしや仕事、何気ない時間の連なりのなかから自然と立ち上がってくるものなんじゃないでしょうか。

stacks bookstoreは本屋だけど、扱っているものは本だけじゃない。
いろいろな価値観や出会いへの入り口でありたいと考えています。

だからstacks bookstoreとして、
いろいろな人と話をした記録を残す場を作ることにしました。
stacksと関わりのある人にも、そうでない人にも、
これまでのことや、今も続いている日々の営みについて、
話を聞いていけたらと思います。

We’ve launched the stacks bookstore website.
A place to share conversations with different people.

There is no absolute standard for judging the quality of a work, or how good a drink or a meal tastes.
So what do people rely on when they make those judgments?
Maybe it comes from the values we build through everyday life.

The same is true for those who create.
Creative work rarely comes from a single special moment.
It grows out of daily life, work, ordinary moments, and the quiet passing of time.

stacks bookstore is a bookstore, but what we offer goes beyond books.
We have always hoped it could be a gateway to different perspectives and unexpected encounters.

With that in mind, we created a place to record conversations with people.
With those connected to stacks and those who are not, we hope to talk about their past and the everyday lives they continue to build.
